Cardinal Sin, a 2009 sorrel
APHA solid paint bred (pictured right), was born on Superbowl
Sunday, Feb 1st, 2009. A highly anticipated foal to our
tobiano program.
It is a Cadinal Sin that
she's a solid paint bred, but there is more to the name . . . .
Nobody remembers who lost
the Super Bowl. That's what we're told. That's not true for the
2009 game. Not even close! The Steelers are champions. But the
Cardinals will forever have a place in this game's history. What a
show. And what a story it would've been. |

The final call saying the
feet were inbounds for the winning
touch down in the last 35 seconds of the game
|
And then came
the unreviewed call. With literally seconds left in the game,
Santonio Holmes, of the Steelers; keeps his feet in bounds as he
makes the game-winning catch with only 35 seconds left. Or
were they?
It's especially interesting that the play went without a second
look considering the Cardinals correctly challenged two plays
during the game (both of which should have been easy calls on the
field but were botched by the refs).
The final call, and a bad call that cost the Cardinal's the
Superbowl. . . . truly a Cardinal Sin.
