Typical charges for breeding a mare on the farm with shipped semen  or from locally collected semen average $400 to $50 per heat cycle.  The overall fertility rate is a little less than two heat cycles per  pregnancy (50%+ mares are pregnant on the first heat cycle.)  It is important to remember that some mares may not be pregnant after breeding for multiple heat cycles.  There is no guarantee.  Board is in addition to these charges.

For Shipping semen we require a valid credit card number or a $300 cash/money order container deposit.  After billing, any deposit credit remaining at the end of the season will be refunded.  In most cases, I strongly encourage counter-to-counter shipment, because the semen gets to the mare sooner and our success rate has been better.
